"German-Russian Conference on Fundamentals and Applications of Nanoscience"
A German-Russian workshop on the fundamentals and applications of nanoscience is held from May 19-21, 2012 at Freie Universität Berlin (Henry-Ford-Building). The aim of this workshop is to bring leading scientists and young researchers from Russi aand Germany at a conference of highest scientific level together, so that the scientific ties between both countries are significantly enhanced by defining future research topics for joint projects and educational programs in the field of nanoscience. The scope of topics to be discussed will be structured in parallel sessions and reaches according to preliminary plans from variable size matter, chemical systems, surfaces and catalysis, to life sciences, biophotonics, ultrafast processes as well as applied nanosystems.

The third Russian-German Interdisciplinary International Student Conference
"Science and Progress"

The aim of this conference is development of deep collaboration between students and young researchers from Russia and Germany and raising the level of the student scientific investigations by intense discussion between young researchers and professors from both countries with presentation of overview lectures by professors from Russia and Germany in the most actual and interesting fields of science. The idea of the conference is a union of investigations in physics, geophysics, chemistry and mathematics and to reveal the most actual and modern problems and directions of interdisciplinary investigations.
The results will be presented in overview lectures, oral talks and posters.
Structure of the workshop:
The workshop is scheduled for 5 days in November 2012 at Physical Faculty of Saint-Petersburg State University (November 12-16, 2012), where about 200-250 participants are expected to discuss their results in 9 parallel sessions.

The International Student’s Conference “Science and Progress” in the framework of the German-Russian Interdisciplinary Science Center (G-RISC) will be held in St. Petersburg (Peterhof) in November, 14-18.
One of the main ideas of the conference is a union of investigations in physics, geophysics, chemistry and mathematics and to reveal the most actual and modern problems and directions of interdisciplinary investigations. The results will be presented in overview lectures, oral talks and posters.
