The third Russian-German Interdisciplinary International Student Conference  "Science and Progress" is scheduled for 5 days in November 2012 at Physical Faculty of Saint-Petersburg State University (November 12-16, 2012). G-RISC Education Program for German Students in Russia:

New educational and research oportunities are given by G-RISC in electron microscopy at St. Petersburg State University. Two slots of 1 week and one slot of 1 month are available (full funding according to the rules of G-RISC).

The Center for Electron Microscopy (head: Prof. O. Vyvenko) at St. Petersburg State University has state-of-the-art equipment (transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and helium microscopy) and is ready to host three students for education and research. The time period of the visits to St. Petersburg will be in Spring 2012. It will be defined by the hosts from St. Petersburg State University.

This offer is exclusively for students from Germany. Applications have to be submitted to office@g-risc.org. Deadline: 15.02.2012. The application requires: 1. Letter of motivation, 2. educational background, 3. curriculum vitae, 4. letter of support from the German supervisor.
