G-RISC is directed by a Steering Committee, where experts from Russia, Germany, and a representiative of DAAD are assembled. They decide on all issues related to G-RISC, among them is the evaluation of all proposals and funding decisions. As a result of the evaluation procedure funding decisions are issued and signed by the German or Russian Scientific Coordinator.
